NUSC Mission Statement
The mission of the Northwest United Soccer Club is to develop youth soccer players to their fullest potential by providing each participant an experience that will help them grow as a player and a person.
Club History
Northwest United Soccer Club (NUSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in June of 1993 with the formation of 10 teams consisting of both boys and girls squads. In June of 1998, the U19 girls team (Renagades) won the Illinois Youth Soccer Association State Cup. This was a first for the club, as the same team were runners-up in the 1999 competition.
NUSC supports both boys and girls teams from U9 to U19. It is the first private and independent soccer club in McHenry County, IL. NUSC was initially based out of Prairie Grove School and then moved in the fall of 2000 into it's present home, NUSC Park, which is located on Valley View Road just south of Route 176 in Prairie Grove, IL. NUSC has maintained a continuous operating structure since it's inception. The club is run, and is managed through, a board of directors and team representatives.
The NUSC Academy was created in 2006 to provide a non-competitive and fun learning environment for children aged 5 through 9. This is accomplished through the use of age appropriate activities and small sided games. NUSC added a soccer camps branch in 2006 via its CL Soccer Camps division. The CL Soccer Camps are for ages U9 to U19. NUSC became one of five Chicago Fire Regional Development Schools in the Chicago area during the fall of 2007.
